When the associated mess of cleaning a bunch of fish became more work then the fishing itself, the Johnson brothers Tony, Bruce and Wayne decided to do something about it. So, they got together and thought about what the biggest problems were when cleaning a bunch of fish. They talked with friends, watched others clean fish and figured out that the slime and guts made the cleaning surface slippery which added time and effort to the filleting process. Periodic cleanings of the surface had to be performed or the fish fillets were just too hard to handle consistently. Newspaper made having a new surface quick, but is DIRTY and can stick to fillets or just be a pain to deal with.

So, after some work and experimentation, they came up with the Fillet King® board. The first MODULAR fillet board system and BEST available product when it comes to filleting a bunch of fish. Slime and guts fall through the patented systems top grate to the supporting reservoir base. The design of the top grate "grips" the fillet as you work and provides a clean surface for every fish.
